Dear friends and neighbors,

Our church has been hard at work preparing a place for you and your family to call your church home. We are enjoying our church facilities, and we invite you to come and be a part of the progress here at VVBC.

Jesus is preparing an even more important place for you.

John 14:1-6 tells us that Jesus has gone “to prepare a place for you.” That place is Heaven.

To go to that prepared place one day, you must also be prepared. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.

Because of our sin, none of us deserve to go to Heaven, and the result of our sin is death and Hell. God’s Word says, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” “The wages of sin is death.” “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”

Jesus, God’s Son, paid our way to Heaven when He died on the cross for our sins and arose from the dead. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.”

To be personally prepared for Heaven, repent and trust Jesus Christ alone to save you. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”  “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Will you prepare for Heaven by trusting Jesus as your Savior today?  If you will, then sincerely pray,

“Dear Lord Jesus, Please have mercy on me, and save my soul.  I know I do not deserve Heaven, but I believe You died for me and arose again, and I am trusting You to forgive me and save me.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me.”
